Blackpool championship show

Under
Sara Pepper

Well we headed of to Blackpool for the day with the Boblettes.

Culseandanes Tyrion The Imp
gained a 1st in Yearling dog

we also decided on putting our Bob the brainless into YKC with Alan as he hasn't really shown in over 2 years now and it would be a nice intro for him as it was the stakes class not to hard for him and the dog as both haven't done it together.

Tyrion showed his socks off for the boy and didn't miss a beat. He let him go round him with no following. He did his handler proud that day, but dog and boy not only did it
 gained a 1st!!!!!

 gaining Alan a place at

Crufts 2019 in YKC!!!!
An achievement he is mighty proud of seeing as he has been out of the ring so long.

Thank you to John Ritchie for thinking so highly of my boys.
You made a young man very happy.

Culseandanes House Of Tully
gained a 2nd in open bitch
plus went onto gain a
RCC!!!!!!

BATH CANINE SOCIETY

At the Three Shires Field Bannerdown,
Bath

Well, we headed off the Bath under Leah Wiltshire first time ticket giver but has been brought up with Danes all her life. The weather was against us that day and it didn't just rain it lashed down with the thunder and lightning to go with it. Scary stuff for the dogs and humans alike. It wasn't the biggest entry for Leah and it ended up 12 dogs and 19 bitches but Team Culseandanes got a surprise as in....

Culseandanes Tyrion The Imp
gained a 1st in Yearling got Dog
Got his slot in the lineup and gained a
RDCC
His 3rd one to date
He is still a young un and is maturing nicely on.

Tyrions Critique
YD (4) 1 Sneddon & Booth, Culseandanes Tyrion The Imp. At 18 months this fawn has everything going for him. Lovely overall picture, I find his head masculine with no coarseness, correct length of fore face, dark eye, strong neck flows into correct shoulders, lovely deep chest, and spring of rib, correct top line and croup, muscular strong rear with a good second thigh. Moved well, well handled, my RCC.

Culseandanes House Of Tully
gained a 1st also in Open Bitch and
gained her slot in the lineup and gained herself a
BCC
Her 4th to date and out at 7 Shows so far.
Cerise Critique
OB (5) 1 Sneddon & Booth, Culseandanes House Of Tully. This 18-month-old fawn young lady is right up my street. Strong yet elegant overall picture, classic. She is well off for bone, correct head with a dark eye, well-arched neck into correct shoulders, lovely deep chest and spring of rib, held her topline on the move, well-angled rear with a great second thigh making her stride out when moving. She was my BCC.

New DNA testing scheme for Great Danes

The Kennel Club has approved a new official DNA testing scheme for inherited myopathy of Great Danes (IMGD), followingconsultation with the breed’s health co-ordinator on behalf of the breed clubs.
To find out which laboratories the Kennel Club is able to record results from, and which labs will send results direct to the Kennel Club, please refer to the worldwide DNA testing list at

The Kennel Club constantly reviews DNA testing schemes in conjunction with breed clubs to ensure that breeders are supported with resources which help them to make responsible breeding decisions.
The Kennel Club works alongside breed clubs and breed health coordinators in a collaborative effort to improve the health of pedigree dogs and is happy to accommodate a club's request to add a new DNA test to its lists. A formal request from the breed's health coordinator or a majority request from the breed clubs is normally required to do this.
Test results will be added to the dog’s registration details which will trigger the publication of the result in the next available Breed Records Supplement. The result will appear on any new registration certificate issued for the dog and on the registration certificates of any future progeny of the dog, and also on the Health Test Results Finder on the Kennel Club website.
Results for dogs already tested can also be recorded, but owners will need to submit copies of the DNA certificates themselves. If the owner includes the original registration certificate for the dog (not a copy) then a new registration certificate will be issued, with the DNA result on it, free of charge.  DNA test certificates should be sent to Breeder Services, The Kennel Club, Clarges Street, London W1J 8AB or scanned and emailed to

SCOTTISH KENNEL CLUB

At Ingliston

We all head of to the show nice and early well not too early as this is, in fact, a local one for us. Only two dogs today our fawns. All the usual suspects are there awaiting judging as usual.

It wasn't the biggest entry for Mr Lee Reynolds sadly as we thought he'd draw a bigger entry than he did.

We also bought two soft crates at the show and I'm thankful we did as the dogs were rested before going in and we could supervise our self-harmer as she likes to chew her feet. Hence the muzzle at times but she doesnt need it all the time now thankfully.

I had to go to the secs office to get Cerise class changed as she had won a CC before the closing of entry and you're not allowed to have them in certain classes or your awards are removed from you.

I need to remember this in future as I am so forgetful in that aspect.

Dogs are in first as usual well it was a turn up for the books as in.......

Culseandanes Tyrion The Imp
gained 1st in Post Graduate Dog
out of 4 entries
of he trots into the line up and then gains a

!!!!!!!!!RDCC!!!!!!!
his 2nd one

CH Culseandanes House Of Tully
gains a 1st in Open Bitch
out of 2 entries should have been 3
as she trots into the lineup and also gains a

!!!!!!RBCC!!!!!!

Our co-owner and handler as usual Mrs Sheena Booth

WEST OF ENGLAND LADIES KENNEL SOCIETY

AT MALVERN THREE COUNTIES SHOW GROUND
Judge Mrs S Lipman

We only had our fawns out today they did us so proud as usual

CULSEANDANES TYRION THE IMP
Gained a 1st in
Junior Dog
it got him a place in the line up but nothing else but he is still to mature on as he is still a junior dog after all fair enough a big huge boned puppy. He is maturing nicely though. Slow and steady.
Thank you all for the lovely comments about him.

J(2) 1. Sneddon & Booths culseandanes tyrion the imp. This 18 month rich red fawn with a dark mask, dark eye, good head planes and correct dentition, presented the gentlest expression. Hard condition throughout and very well balanced in body, having correct front and rear angulation and strong topline. One of many today with super tight feet, and a very smooth mover. Litter brother to my best bitch so will be one to watch as he matures.

CULSEANDANES HOUSE OF TULLY
Gained a 1st in

Junior Bitch
gaining her place in the line up.
well to our mega surprise she goes onto gain another CC
then Bobette not happy with that challenges for BOB and wins
So we have to wait on Group.
Bobette in great style nicks of with a whippets bed and crashes out with that air of tell me when I'm on then.
To our bloody astonishment she get group 4 which is an achievement as Great Danes are usually overlooked,  but the judge on the day saw something good in her.
I thank you Mr Hans Van Den Berg for thinking so highly of my bitch.

To top it all off she is now a
CHAMPION (KC APPROVAL) plus she did it in Junior.
Sheena's 13th and our 1st
This team works together
JB (4,1)1.Sneddon & Booths Culseandanes House Of Tully. Very rarely does a dane come so close to the breed standard, and be able to perform at her best, at the right time. This youngster, in a rich fawn gleaming coat which accentuated her firm musculature, exuded strength, elegance and yet retained distinct femininity. A dark mask, correct dentition with neat drop of lip, almond-shaped dark eyes, alert use of ears producing a beautiful head, carried high on her showy crested neck. The best front and rear assembly supported by good boned legs and very tight feet. At just 18 months old, and flowing throughout from her sprung ribs to her strong hindquarters and good tail set, she couldn't be denied the BCC. BOB and later in the day WG4.

The dogs are co-owned by myself and Sheena I wouldn't have it any other way as Sheena deserves the glory just as much as us.
May I take this opportunity to thank Mandy Farr for
Bella aka Eddanes I Found Heaven Via Culseandanes
plus Kelly Nayar for Merlin aka  Kemanilo Total Magic
Sheena for owning Merlin too
because it wouldn't have been possible without the above for our first fawn litter and be producing
CH CULSEANDANES HOUSE OF TULLY
Not forgetting
CULSEANDANES TYRION THE IMP
your time to shine will come one day.

SCOTTISH GREAT DANE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

At Lawrie and Symington
Lanark
Dogs Mrs E Lapsley
Bitches Mrs L Donnelly

We get there nice and early to get the dogs all relaxed and a wee walkabout to calm them more the lads as they can be a bit silly at times before going into the ring.
Dogs in first as usual and we started late as the dog judge was caught in traffic due to road closures we knew nothing about. we got started at 9.45am and finished for 3pm for our clean up after the show. many stayed behind for the nibbles and cake and copious amounts of wine which are always a hit at the shows by us Scottish lot.

CULSEANDANES HOUSE OF TULLY WITH HER CO OWNER (SHOW MUM)
Sheena Booth

JB (4, 1) 1 Sneddon & Booth's Culseandanes House Of Tully. Have watched this girl since first seeing her as a puppy and she did not disappoint today. For me, she oozes breed type, has strength but still retains the required elegance with no exaggerations. Has the most melting expression and excellent head planes. Well filled in front with good lay of shoulder, correct topline, good depth throughout presenting a super outline. Was pleased to award her the CC and, with the co-judges agreement BIS. I'm sure she will not be waiting long for her crowning third ticket.

I'm watching from afar awaiting a decision being made and she only goes onto getting the CC
Well, our Bobbette wasn't satisfied with that she challenges for BIS and wins that too.

Cheers and applause rang round the ring. I'm all squiffy at this point trying to get of the floor. My lad Al is grinning like a loon cuddling anyone that got in his way.

CONGRATS TO ALL THE OTHER WINNERS
