Summer has landed

Well, the weather has heated up here in Scotland and by gum it's warm. Heres hoping it's last.

What do you do when it's hot?

I hear the usual fans on, water/pop in hand or some its the wine after a day at work, but I mean your dogs, not you.

fans.
water.
paddling pools.
sprays.
cool coats and mats.

We use them all.

Ever few hours sometimes every hour its the spray on for them. Our mantle boy loves to paddle and splash his belly in the warmer months and his daughter has followed suit.

This is when its harder to walk them safely as its too warm for their feet to be on the pavements here as it's way too hot. So we either do early morning or late at night.

Its the same when feeding them all early and late they don't mind as long as they get fed. Well we are their feeders after all and they can't just pop out for lunch in the supermarket or the nearest sheep field think someone would say something.

if you are warm your dog will be warmer. Don't take them out in the hot weather that's just bloody cruel. Leave them home with the fans on.

if a dog show-er you know that all the windows open are a must and fans on in the back. We do this too and they are watered ALL the time. We do many pits stops on the way to shows when it's warm. Van is parked in the shade once we arrive.

So how do you all manage the weather with your 4 legged pet?
